Privacy Policy
Resume Tickler (“we”, “us”, “the Service”) helps you tailor your resume to a specific job. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it deliberately small: we only collect what we need to run the Service.
Information we collect
- Account details — your email address, and either a hashed password or, if you use “Continue with Google”, your Google account’s basic profile (email, and a Google account identifier). We never receive your Google password.
- Content you provide — the resume PDFs you upload, the job descriptions you paste, and the tailored resumes generated for you.
- Usage — counts and timestamps of resumes generated, to enforce plan limits.
- Payment — if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number; we store a Stripe customer/subscription identifier and your plan status.
- Technical — a single sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, and basic server logs. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
How we use it
- To operate the Service — tailor your resume, render PDFs, and store your history.
- To enforce plan limits and process subscriptions.
- To secure the Service and send essential account or service notices.
AI processing
To generate a tailored resume, the content of your uploaded resume and the job description you paste are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API. Please review Anthropic’s privacy policy. Anthropic does not train its models on data submitted through its API.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:
- Anthropic — AI resume generation.
- Stripe — subscription payments.
- Google — optional sign-in.
- Railway — application hosting.
Data retention & your choices
Your uploaded resumes and generated history remain until you delete them in the app or ask us to delete your account. You can remove individual resumes and generated resumes at any time from the History view. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at the address below.
Security
Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to what’s needed to run the Service. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
